Description

The Blodgett 8584 Ball Plunger Door Catch is a mechanical retention part that is used to ensure that equipment doors are kept closed. It works with the help of a spring-loaded ball which is attached to a strike surface to hold the door position during operation. This door catch is a movement to maintain the stability of cooking and heat retention. In the course of time, holding strength can be decreased due to wear or spring fatigue. The replacement of the ball plunger will restore the correct door closure and will aid in safe operation of commercial cooking equipment.
