The Unox USXHC001 Filtration Kit QT1CR uses a capacity carbon block and ion-exchange media to prevent chlorine, sediment, and scale-forming minerals in the incoming water. The cartridge is multi-stage, and as the fluid flows through it, chemical contaminants are adsorbed and the hardness ions are sequestered to prevent solid deposition inside internal components. This is fitted directly onto the water supply line to the unit and is fixed to a wall close by or the equipment stand so that it can be accessed. The system has a modular head and a changeable filter suited to the high-flow commercial kitchen setting.
