Description

The Cecilware F178A thermopile is used in gas-fired kitchen equipment such as fryers, griddles, steam generators, and braising pans. It has a 36-inch 2-lead design and the voltage range is 250-750 mV. Suitable for use with Cecilware FMP 30 and 40B, Imperial IF and IHR series, and Vulcan GHF and TK fryers, among others, it optimizes performance by converting heat to electricity to operate gas valves. This thermopile improves safety and stability and should be incorporated into cooking devices for improved performance.

Step1: Turn off gas and electrical supply and allow the appliance to cool completely.

Step2: Remove access panel and place existing thermopile near pilot assembly.

Step3: Disconnect the old thermopile leads from the gas control valve.

Step4: Install thermopile and position tip directly in pilot flame path.

Step5: Secure mounting bracket and ensure leads are routed away from heat.

Step6: Reconnect wiring, restore gas, and check stable pilot and proper voltage output.
