Description

The Southbend 4344-1 Thermocouple is a 48 inch sensing element that is applied to detect the presence of a pilot flame in compatible gas cooking systems. It is installed between the pilot assembly and the gas safety valve, and when the flame heats it, it produces a small electrical signal. This signal enables the valve to stay open and sustain the flow of the gas in the course of operation. Couple replacement will provide the correct flame sensing and allow safe operation of the gas control as well as stable operation of the system under the commercial operating system.
