Description

The Keating 004236 Pressure Regulator regulates the flow of natural gas by lowering high inlet pressure to a constant outlet pressure to ensure that related appliances are functioning properly. It works on a diaphragm principle which automatically adapts to variations in supply pressure to keep the output constant at 1/2 PSI in the 3" to 6" WC range. This regulator is designed to fit in a 3/4" FPT gas line and can be placed in a position ahead of stoves, ovens, or any other gas-powered equipment so that pressure can be regulated safely and correctly and the system can be easily operated.

Step1: Shut off the gas supply and disconnect appliance power before starting installation.

Step2: Remove the old regulator and clean the pipe threads and fittings.

Step3: Apply gas-approved thread sealant to male threads only.

Step4: Mount the new regulator with the flow arrow pointing toward the appliance.

Step5: Secure all connections firmly while avoiding excessive force.

Step6: Turn the gas supply back on and test all connections with a soap-and-water leak solution.

Step7: Confirm the outlet pressure is within the range before operating equipment.
