Description

The Kolpak 550000456 Drain Pan Defrost Heater 1F warms the drain pan area during defrost cycles to control moisture that has built up. It produces heat that melts the ice, and this lowers the accumulation of ice by increasing the temperature in the drain pan below the evaporator part. It is intended to be used with units that have only one fan configuration, and it is connected with the defrost control circuit to operate in time. This defrost heater will be installed in the refrigeration systems that are compatible, and it will be mounted at the drain pan section towards the evaporator assembly. It is a substitute part that is supposed to keep the proper drainage in the defrost mode.
