Description

The Component Hardware Group KL50X138S Vacuum Breaker 1/2" NPT is used as a water line protection part in commercial cooking equipment. It works by allowing air into the line when pressure drops which breaks the vacuum and stops reverse flow from pulling water backward. This keeps the system secure during pressure changes in normal operation. It is installed on a 1/2-inch NPT threaded connection within the water supply line, placed between the incoming water source and the equipment, where it responds to sudden pressure loss and maintains one-way water flow during use.
