Heatcraft 1007648 Start Relay

The Heatcraft 1007648 Start Relay is an electrical switching part used in compatible compressor-driven systems. It operates by temporarily shorting out the compressor start winding when the compressor is starting up to give the electrical assistance necessary to start the compressor motor. The relay de-energizes the start circuit and the compressor operates when the compressor is in the proper running condition. The relay is mounted in the electrical compartment of the equipment and directly to the compressor circuit. It is used to connect the start winding in the initial starting sequence of the compressor.
