The Vollrath OEM Parts 644 Tomato Slicer that cuts tomatoes into quarter-inch uniform slices using a fixed blade assembly to maintain uniform spacing. It works by squeezing the tomato between parallel stainless steel blades in one downward motion to slice evenly to use in sandwiches and food preparation. The slicer is placed on a counter top or prep table, the base of the slicer is fixed to ensure that the slicer stays in the same place when it is in use. It connects to the frame and blade cartridge to keep it in alignment. This tomato slicer is used in commercial kitchens which need to be organized in slicing and have consistent portion control.
