Description

The Avantco 400043 Thermopile is a 24-inch, two-lead gas cooking equipment safety sensing component that is used in compatible equipment. It works by producing an electrical signal when it is heated by a pilot flame so that the gas valve is free to stay open during normal operation. This thermopile is mounted in the pilot assembly, and is used in commercial ranges, griddles, etc. The purpose of its role in the system is to verify the flame and assist in safe gas control by cutting off the fuel supply in case of the loss of the pilot flame.
