The Garland 1864901 Clamshell Grill Ignition Module MWG/XG/9501 produces the electrical spark needed to start the gas burner by transforming the incoming power into high-voltage pulses sent to the ignition electrode. It liaises with the control system of the grill to start and sustain the ignition cycle when starting. Fitted in the internal control compartment of compatible clamshell grill model it is an interconnection between the power source and ignition parts. The module is a vital part of the burner lighting cycle and it interacts with switches and wiring to assist in proper ignition timing and in the grill assembly.
