Description

The Garland 1019418 Range Thermocouple 18" is used to measure the heat of a pilot flame by producing a small electrical signal when hot. The signal also regulates the operation of the gas valve by ensuring the presence of flames. It is mounted close to the pilot burner and the sensing tip is placed in the flame stream. The lead is attached to the gas control valve. The thermocouple is mounted using hardware. It is placed in a way that facilitates adequate flame detection in the range ignition system.
