Description

The Champion 100500 Dishwasher Vacuum Breaker with brass 1/2″ FPT is a backflow prevention used in compatible Champion commercial dishwashers to stop the contaminated water from siphoning back into the potable water supply. It is fitted in the water inlet line of the machine and it will admit air into the system in case of a reversal in pressure in order to ensure a clean water source. This is a vacuum breaker in the dishwasher water supply system, and is normally fitted in restaurants, cafeterias and where foodservice is involved and where plumbing codes and water must be obeyed.

Step1: Turn off water supply and disconnect power to the dishwasher for safety.

Step2: Locate the vacuum breaker on the incoming water supply line.

Step3: Remove the old breaker by loosening the threaded connections.

Step4: Apply thread sealant and install the new vacuum breaker in correct orientation.

Step5: Tighten fittings securely without over-torquing.

Step6: Restore water supply, check for leaks, and test operation.
